The zone has its own BSNL NGN (Next Generation Network). which is an IP based, state of the art new telephone technology that handles multiple types of traffic (such as Voice, Data and Multimedia) at very high bandwidth.
VSNL's 15 Gbps International Gateway Exchange has an installation within the Zone from which OFC links are available to users.
The Zone has a central facility which connects the ISPs(Internet Service Providers) to the CSEZ OFC network.
The CSEZ OFC network connects all the multi storeyed building through Fiber Optic Cables. Units can take internet connection using the OFC line.The user unit has to apply to the Development Commissioner, CSEZ for using the OFC Network for taking internet connection. The network supports IPLC, Internet etc. The application form for using CSEZ OFC network can be downloaded from here.
CSEZ is a foreign territory, outside Indian Customs territory. Special Customs Unit deployed exclusively for CSEZ. All customs procedure and documentation are done in the Zone itself. Transactions on the basis of self-declaration
The Zone lies on the new Cochin Airport Seaport Highway. This is under construction. The first phase of the highway has been completed. The highway will reduce distances from the Zone to both the ports from 30 kms to 20 kms
The Zone has its own integrated water supply system. Water is drawn from the Kadamprayar river and treated at a facility within the Zone. The system capacity is 1.5 million litres per day.

The Zone has a one million litre per day capacity Common Effluent Treatment facility for all sewage and effluents let out from units. Zone units are required to send all their sewage and effluent to this treatment plant. They are not permitted to discharge this outside their premises in any other manner
The unit has to apply in the prescribed format for water connection. The application alongwith 'Agreement for Integrated Water Management Services in Cochin SEZ' and Deposit as instructed by Kitco in the form of DD drawn in favour of KITCO LTD should be submitted to the Development Commissioner, CSEZ. The agreement should be executed in stamp paper worth Rs.50/-.

The Zone has a foreign Post office. This permits the Zone units to obtain all their parcels free of duties from abroad. All important Courier Agencies also serve the Zone.
Indicative monthly salaries are Rs.11,130/- for unskilled personnel Rs.12600/- for skilled and secretarial personnel, Rs.13,650/- on wards for managerial personnel.
Cochin has a brand new International Airport. This is India’s only airport in the private sector. This is well connected to West Asia and Singapore. The Airport has air cargo handling facilities.
The Airport is only 30 kms away from the Zone, and is connected by the New Cochin Airport-Seaport Highway.
Factory building in Multi storeyed format or independent single storeyed format available. The multi storeyed factory buildings come with 5 floors and are serviced by ramps as well as by cargo lifts of 2000 Kg. capacity. The load bearing capacity of the floor is 1000 Kg. per sq. mtr.
